Obrazovanje

Nikola Đurašković je rođen 27.05.1979. godine na Cetinju đe je završio osnovnu školu i Gimnaziju, a aktivno se bavio rukometom u mlađim kategorijama RK Lovćen. Nakon toga upisuje i završava Beogradsku poslovnu školu, smjer Strukovni ekonomista finansija, računovodstva i bankarstva (B.Sc), a zatim i specijalističke studije Poslovnog menadžmenta.

Kada su u pitanju radne vještine i sposobnosti pored poznavanja rada na računaru, govori Engleski jezik i ima položen stručni ispit za rad u državnim organima. Na brojnim obukama stekao je vještine iz sledećih oblasti: upravljanje projektima, izgradnja tima, facilitacija, nenasilno komuniciranje, priprema projekata za predpristupne i druge EU fondove, pregovaranje, lobiranje.

Učesnik brojnih treninga, konferencija i seminara u Crnoj Gori, Srbiji, BiH, Hrvatskoj, Finskoj, Norveškoj, Švedskoj, Grčkoj, Kipru, Bugarskoj, Luksemburgu, Holandiji, Belgiji,  Albaniji, Portugalu, Italiji, Austriji, Slovačkoj, Češkoj, Velikoj Britaniji i Francuskoj.

Radno iskustvo

Prvo radno iskustvo započinje 1999. godine u NVO klubu Građanska kuća sa Cetinja, đe je prvo bio Koordinator programa, a kasnije i Izvršni direktor. U tom periodu glavne  radne aktivnosti su koordinacija rada organizacija članica Građanske kuće, saradnje sa medijima, državnim i lokalnim organima, saradnja sa malim i srednjim preduzećima, koordinacija projektnih aktivnosti kluba i organizacija članica, kao i saradnja sa nevladinim organizacijama iz zemlje i inostranstva.

Nakon iskustva u NVO sektoru 2006. godine počinje da radi u Prijestonici Cetinje kao Portparol Prijestonice i Zamjenik starješine Službe gradonačelnika. U tom periodu radi na saradnji sa medijima i drugim ciljnim javnostima, organizaciji događaja u Prijestonici, organizaciji i izdavanju informativnog glasila i organizaciji rada Službe gradonačelnika, stara se  o korporativnoj kulturi, korporativnom identitetu i imidžu Prijestonice Cetinje. Za Menadžera Prijestonice je postavljen 2008. godine i na novoj poziciji ima intezivne aktivnosti kada su u pitanju investicije u gradu: komunicira sa investitorima, koordiniše sve gradske investicije i priprema investicione planove, organizuje učešće na investicionim sajmovima i konferencijama, promoviše mogućnosti Prijestonice za nove investicije i priprema i realizuje privatno - javna partnerstva. Takođe, u ovom periodu sarađuje sa malim i srednjim preduzećima na unapređenju poslovnog ambijenta i uklanjanju biznis barijera na lokalnom nivou i upravlja projektima od značaja za razvoj Prijestonice.

Od 2010. godine obavlja dužnost sekretara Sekretarijata za komunalne poslove i saobraćaj, đe kao rukovodilac organizuje rad i upravlja Sekretarijatom. Pored toga brine o razvoju gradskih komunalnih djelatnosti i upravlja investicionim projektima vezanim za gradsku infrastrukturu. Posebne aktivnosti kao rukovodilac Sekretarijata ima u dijelu koordinacije i nadzora nad radom javnih preduzeća iz oblasti komunalnih djelatnosti.

U periodu od 2012. do 2015. radi u privatnom sektoru, prvo u auto kući Mondial, a zatim u Viva Coffee . U auto kući Mondial  radi kao Izvršni direktor na organizaciji rada, promociji poslovanja i brine se o klijentima, a u  Viva Coffee pokriva poziciju Direktora prodaje i brine se o organizaciji poslova prodaje i promociji brendova.

Nakon privatnog ponovo se vraća da radi u javnom sektoru i to u Direkciji za razvoj malih i srednjih preduzeća Crne Gore, đe radi kao Pomoćnik direktora sa zadacima na koordinaciji aktivnosti rada Direkcije, praćenju i implementaciji akcionih planova i strategija, kao i na promociji rada same Direkcije. Na ovoj radnoj poziciji ostaje u periodu od 2015-2018. godine, kada prelazi na poziciju Samostalnog savjetnika u Ministarstvu ekonomije i to u Direkciji za saradnju sa biznis zajednicom, da bi 2021. godine u sklopu Ministarstva za ekonomski razvoj radio u Direkciji za regionalni razvoj, đe ostaje sve do izbora za gradonačelnika Prijestonice Cetinje 28. Februara 2022. godine.                                                                         

Angažman u NVO sektoru i politici

Angažman u NVO sektoru i politici Nikole Đuraškovića usko je vezan za grad Cetinje, njegovu budućnost i razvoj. Kao student aktivirao se u nevladinim organizacijama, da bi kasnije kroz rad u lokalnoj administraciji i odborničkom klubu SDP-a profilisao kao najbolji poznavalac prilika na nivou cijelog sistema lokalne samouprave.

Na početku svoje karijere aktivno sudjeluje u radu nevladinih organizacija, prije svega u NVO klubu Građanska kuća koja predstavlja mrežu lokalnih NVO, a čiji je utemeljivač i dugogodišnji direktor. U periodu rada u NVO sektoru ima priliku da aktivno sudjeluje u životu lokalne zajednice, prije svega na podizanju svijesti o građanskom društvu, toleranciji, demokratskom razvoju, ekologiji, pravima mladih i manjinskih grupa. Dugi niz godina radi na aktivnostima vezanim za realizaciju projekata i programa iz ovih oblasti. U tom periodu osnovao je i organizovao i dva međunarodna omladinska festivala „Mira i pomirenja” 2001. i 2002. godine.

Bio je član Savjeta Radio Cetinja od 2008. – 2010. godine, a prije toga i član, kao predstavnik NVO sektora, radne grupe za reformu javnog servisa.

Član je Socijaldemokratske partije čiji je bio sekretar i predsjednik Opštinskog odbora na Cetinju, a od 2013. godine član Glavnog odbora i član predsjedništva SDP Crne Gore. Od 2020. godine je potpredsjednik partije.

Od 2013. do 2022. bio je odbornik u Skupštini Prijestonice Cetinje. Za gradonačelnika Prijestonice Cetinje izabran je 28. februara 2022. godine.

Education

Nikola Đurašković was born on May 27, 1979, in Cetinje, where he completed elementary and high school, and actively played handball in the junior categories of Handball Club "Lovćen." After that, he enrolled in and graduated from the Belgrade Business School, majoring in Vocational Economist of Finance, Accounting, and Banking, followed by specialized studies in Business Management.

Regarding his professional skills and abilities, in addition to being proficient with computers, he speaks English and has passed the State Exam for working in state authorities. He has acquired skills in numerous areas through various trainings, including project management, team building, facilitation, non-violent communication, preparation of projects for pre-accession and other EU funds, negotiation, and lobbying.

He has participated in numerous trainings, conferences, and seminars in Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium, Albania, Portugal, Italy, Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, and France.

Work experience

His first work experience began in 1999 in the NGO club “Građanska kuća” in Cetinje, where he first served as Program Coordinator and later as Executive Director. During this period, his main responsibilities included coordinating the work of member organizations of the Civic House, collaborating with the media, state and local authorities, cooperating with small and medium-sized enterprises, coordinating the project activities of the club and its member organizations, and collaborating with non-governmental organizations both domestically and internationally.

 

After gaining experience in the NGO sector, he began working for the municipality of Cetinje in 2006 as the Spokesman of the Old Royal Capital and Deputy Head of the Mayor's Office. During this period, he was responsible for media relations and other target audiences, organizing events in the Old Royal Capital, publishing an informative newsletter, organizing the work of the Mayor's Office and managing the corporate culture, corporate identity, and image of Cetinje. In 2008, he became the City Manager, focusing on investments in the city: communicating with investors, coordinating all city investments and preparing investment plans, organizing participation in investment fairs and conferences, promoting investment opportunities in the Old Royal Capital, and preparing and implementing public-private partnerships. Additionally, he worked with small and medium-sized enterprises to improve the business environment and remove local business barriers, managing projects important for the city's development.

Since 2010, he has served as the Secretary of the Secretariat for Communal Affairs and Traffic, where he organized and managed the Secretariat's work. He oversaw the development of city utilities and managed investment projects related to city infrastructure. As head of the Secretariat, he had special responsibilities in coordinating and supervising the work of public companies in the field of communal activities.

From 2012 to 2015, he worked in the private sector, first at Mondial car company and then at Viva Coffee. At Mondial, he served as Executive Director, focusing on work organization, business promotion, and client care. At Viva Coffee, he held the position of Sales Director, where he was responsible for sales organization and brand promotion.

After his tenure in the private sector, he returned to public service, joining the Directorate for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises of Montenegro as an Assistant Director. In this role, he coordinated the Directorate's activities, monitored and implemented action plans and strategies, and promoted the Directorate's work. He held this position from 2015 until 2018, then became an Independent Advisor in the Ministry of Economy in the Directorate for Cooperation with the Business Community, and in 2021 he worked in the Directorate for Regional Development within the Ministry of Economic Development. He remained in this role until his election as Mayor of the Old Royal Capital Cetinje on February 28, 2022.

Political career

The political career of Nikola Đurašković is closely tied to the city of Cetinje, its future, and its development. As a student, he became active in non-governmental organizations and later, through his work in the local administration and the SDP councilor club, established himself as the foremost expert on the local self-government system.

At the beginning of his career, he actively participated in the work of non-governmental organizations, primarily in the NGO club “Građanska kuća”, a network of local NGOs, of which he was the founder and long-term director. During his time in the NGO sector, he had the opportunity to actively engage in the local community, particularly in raising awareness about civil society, tolerance, democratic development, ecology, and the rights of young people and minority groups. For many years, he worked on activities related to implementing projects and programs in these areas. During this period, he founded and organized two international youth festivals, "Peace and Reconciliation," in 2001 and 2002.

He was a member of the Council of Radio Cetinje from 2008 to 2010, and before that, he was also a member, representing the NGO sector, of the working group for public service reform.

He is a member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), where he has served as secretary and president of the Municipal Board in Cetinje. Since 2013, he has been a member of the Main Board and a member of the presidency of the SDP of Montenegro. In 2020, he became the vice president of the party.

From 2013 to 2022, he was a councilor in the Assembly of the Old Royal Capital of Cetinje. He was elected as the Mayor of the Old Royal Capital Cetinje on February 28, 2022.
